First of all, we are sorry that we missed to take note of the runner who finished #23. To the runner who thinks he finished with such time and had stayed with those known runners, please contact me or make a comment on this post so that we can post your name. If you have any knowledge or information of the guy, please inform me. 

Although this is a test run for the 2011 BDM 102 Ultramarathon Race, I still consider this as a race among runners. Thus, I would like to make all the finish times here as official results of such event. In due time, we will distribute Finisher’s Certificate as an official document that will prove that you are an ultramarathon runner (if this run was your baptism in ultra road racing)!

I hope that this experience among the new BDM 102 runners would give them, at least, one-half of what to be expected on D-Day. What is important in this test run is for the runners to familiarize with the route & environment; test their (lighting & reflectorized) equipment, running apparel, and apply their race strategy and hydration & nutrition strategy during the race. If you think you “sucked” big time in this test run, you can still have the time to make some adjustments based from whatever you have learned from this run. Remember, your primary goal in this race is to be able to FINISH within the cut-off time of 18 hours! (And be able to run your next Ultramarathon Race in Legazpi City on April 2!)

The next test run for the BDM 102 runners will be on February 12 from BDM Km #50 in Abucay, Bataan to BDM Km #102 in San Fernando, Pampanga. The assembly time is 6:00 AM and the test run will start as soon as we will be able to process & account for the all the runners. This will be a test on how each runner will be able “adapt” with the heat of the sun and the paved road and a “little” test of mental attitude!
