Are you planning to do SFM? It is one of my favorite races. Nothing like running over the famous bridge and visiting some very well-known communities in San Francisco. The hills aren’t too bad, but it helps to do plenty of hill training before then. I don’t know if I’ll do it this year, but I’ve run the course twice.
I’m visiting Cebu in late June-early July. Do you know of any local events in the Philippines around that timeframe?
If I somehow manage to do the PRHM, it will be fun to do the GPHM as well. We’ll see.

I had initially thought Bacolod might be a good choice, but Iloilo will be better schedule-wise. At least I won’t get too fat if I run one 21K race while in the country. We’ll see.

Runnex 25th Executive 5K/10K Classic – December 7 , 2008
The Executive Running Club of the Philippines (RUNNEX) in cooperation
with The Quezon City Government and the Quezon City Tourism Council
will be holding the RUNNEX 25th Executive 5K/10K Classic Run on
December 07, 2008, 6:30am at the University of the Philippines Campus,
Diliman, Quezon City.
The run is open to all professionals, businessmen and executives
holding supervisory to managerial positions. Government executives
must hold a minimum position of Division Chief while military officers
must have a minimum rank of Captain.
This year’s race theme for the event is: “Human Energy For the
Filipino Race”. The objective is to harness human energy For the
Filipino Race’s future. It’s a race for physical fitness, energy
conservation and environmental protection.
Entry fee is P500.00 which will entitle runners to many freebies. The
Executive Classic will serve as a tune –up race for the First Quezon
City International Marathon this coming February, 2009.
Details regarding registration date and venues will be posted very soon.

Run through the scenic plains and coffee farms of Amadeo, Cavite in 3K, 5K and 10K Categories. Amadeo is best known for the Pahimis Coffee Festival. Pahimis, a gesture of thanksgiving to God practiced by the local townsfolk more than a century ago, which showcases the town’s coffee industry. It is usually held on the last weekend of February.
