qs, the members of the team bald runner are really focused towards excellence and i am trying my best and my coaches to “guide” them and hopefully, make them qualify in future international games.

wayne, as i said before during our meetings, these athletes belong to those families who are living below the “poverty line” and some of them have families to feed and support to uplift their economic condition. running is their profession and i am here to guide them together with my staff. i already extended your regards to them.

sunday warrior, it is easy to locate them every after race..just proceed to our “booth” and you can talk to them or have photo-ops with them. thanks!

i agree with sundaywarrior… nice to see the faces of these good bunch of runners. good luck to the runners who will be part of the Milo finals! I’ll be there to take pictures and to check on Cris’s performance.

Sir Jovie, it was an honor of meeting you and Team Baldrunner while on vacation. A great mixture of young and experienced and a coaching staff that has tremenduous knowledge of the sport. Learning a little more about such groups here in the states such as the Hanson’s Project and Nike Farm Team is a great help to start any team. Quciksilver, thanks for suggesting the profile since I remembered just some of the profiles during the luncheon.

Gerald winning the 10K over an experienced runner like Herrera last Sunday and the 5K/10K wins at the NB Power Race the weekend before speaks volumes. However, the humbleness I saw of most of the team during my stay is something that will always be an impression that will never be forgotten.

Please say hello to everyone on the team for me BR and continue the success with Team Baldrunner, the training and the local races there.

cecil, you are right. those places are full of potentials, most especially, long distance/endurance runners.

jay, yup! these guys are really good and do their best every time they join road races.

Hmm, the Mindanao connection is interesting. Indeed, if you drive on the beautiful highway between Cotabato City and General Santos at dawn the Koronadal stretch is full of runners, or “joggers”, which is the popular term.
