The keys to successfully preparing for your first ultra-marathon are:

2. Hills! Hills! Hills! Whether your goal race is hilly or not, the more hills you do in training, the stronger you’ll be and the better prepared for your ultra.

>>> Taal lake to Tagaytay: 8km hill road would be a nice route to try =)

Hi BR. Excellent info and thanks for sharing this. Did I read that you'll be leaving July 6th? Were you still planning to run the half?

I'll be attempting the Quad Dipsea (November 29th) which is roughly 28 miles and the first over the marathon distance.

This will be following my vacation to the Philippines. If possible, please send me an e-mail. I have the itinerary. Thanks.
